Mr. Harnischfeger is responsible for leading the technological integration of Validus’s investment reporting platform in conjunction with the analyst team. In addition, he serves a hands-on role with the Validus Capital private fund platform, where he oversees opportunities from the pipeline to initial fundraising, integration into client portfolios, and ultimately performance reporting and proprietary liquidity modeling. Mr. Harnischfeger also acts as an ad hoc project manager for the needs of Validus Capital, taking on special projects to achieve business objectives.
Prior to joining Validus Capital, Mr. Harnischfeger worked as an Associate Director at Camden Capital where he was responsible for the investment reporting of client portfolios and research and analysis of public and private markets, as well as the continual improvement of Camden’s private fund platform.
His career in finance began as a sell side analyst for a boutique investment bank focused on lower middle market transactions for cybersecurity and digital media firms, after selling a specialty aftermarket automotive parts company he founded, operated, and scaled through his undergraduate and graduate studies.
Mr. Harnischfeger earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Business Administration from the State University of New York at New Paltz. He currently holds the Series 65 license.
